like armature windings and field windings are connected in parallel which is known as shunt.This type of motor is also called a shunt wound DC motor, where the type of winding is known as a shunt winding.Whereas in separate types of electric motors, the connection of the stator and rotor can be done using different power supplies.This allows the motor to be controlled from the shunt and the armature winding can be amplified to generate flux.This type of DC series electric motor has a rotor connected in series.These motors are mainly used in starter motors used in elevators and cars.Then there is the permanent magnet type of DC electric motor, which is one type of DC motor that can be constructed with permanent magnets to create the magnetic field required for the operation of the electric motor.While the DC compound motor is a combined component of a DC series and a shunt motor.In this type of electric motor, the stator and rotor are connected to each other by means of series and shunt windings.Types of AC electric motors include synchronous and asynchronous induction motors.In a synchronous induction motor, it operates on a 3-phase supply.The stator of an electric motor produces a rotating field current at a steady speed based on the AC frequency.When the rotational accuracy is high, this motor can be applied in automation, robotics, and others.Whereas in the asynchronous type, the movement uses electromagnetic induction which is able to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy.Based on the rotor construction, these motors are classified into two types, namely squirrel cage & wound phase.This type of electric motor includes motors with special functions, mainly including stepper motors, brushless DC motors, hysteresis motors, reluctance motors and universal motors.Stepper motors can be used to offer step angle revolutions, as an alternative to steady revolutions.In stepper motors, the full rotation angle can be separated in steps such as 10 degrees X 18 steps.Stepper motors are used in plotters, circuit fabricators, process control devices and ordinary motion generators.Whereas brushless DC motors were first developed to achieve superior performance in lower space than AC models.Inside the motor, there is a controller for easy processing in the absence of a commutator and slip ring.Then in the hysteresis motor, the rotor of this motor can be induced by hysteresis and eddy currents to produce the required task.This motor produces a very smooth process with stable speed and minimal noise similar to other synchronous motors.In general, the construction of a reluctance motor is quite similar to that of an induction motor such as a cage type.The rotor in the motor as in the squirrel cage type and the stator of the motor includes sets of windings such as auxiliary and main winding.Reluctance Motor has a stable speed at operating level.So this motor is commonly used in synchronization applications which include signal generators, recorders, and others.This type of universal electric motor works on a single AC power supply or DC power supply.Universal motors are series wound in which the field and armature windings are connected in series and thus produce a high starting torque.This type of universal electric motor is designed primarily to operate at high speeds above 3500 rpm.When in use, the used AC supply is
